Each of our terrariums are hand-made and uniquely landscaped using a selection of plants suitable for tropical environments.
Each miniature ecosystems sit on a filtration layer made from a combination of natural materials including Hydroleca, which helps absorb water and then slowly releases it back into the environment; gravel, pebbles, activated charcoal which helps keep the environment clean, and our own unique mixture of substrate which allows fresh airflow to the roots.
Each terrarium is also home to a microscopic bio-active clean-up crew, including Springtails which help the breakdown of decaying organic matter and Sciarid Nematodes to help keep moisture-loving bugs away.
The selection of plants used in each terrarium is dependent on the availability of plants at the time, and the size of the vessel. We will usually mix a variety of greenery with vibrant pinks and reds, along with native mosses and decorative stones.
Once built, each terrarium spends at least 2 weeks in incubation to ensure the plants have settled in their new environment, and moisture levels are in balance.
With your order, you will receive a care guide on how to look after your Terrarium.
